The adventure begins

All of us who are staying the night in Charlotte have safely arrived and are ready for a good night's sleep before flying out tomorrow morning. The rest of the team will be driving to the airport in the morning and meet us there. As I sit here in the hotel room, the olympic games are on the television and my mind begins to fill with wonder and excitement at all that is to come.
From my experiences at two previous olympic ministry trips, I know that God is already at work in Vancouver, preparing hearts to hear the message we have to share. I remember back to Salt Lake City and to Torino, Italy and I can still see the faces of those whom God told me "that is who I sent you here to meet", and I begin to think of and pray for that one or more that He is sending me to meet in Vancouver. I pray that I will be open to His leading and faithful to His call. I pray that for all of us!!!!
We will be flying into Seattle tomorrow evening, spending the night in a church there and taking the Amtrak bus on into Vancouver Saturday morning. I pray that we will not wait till then to be on mission for Him, but be living it out each day. Please keep us in your prayers as we seek to follow Him into this exciting venue that we would be sensitive to those around us, faithful to His calling and obedient to His leading. Each day, we will be posting stories of how He is at work around us. Thank you for all your support, prayers and love!!! As Casting Crowns song states...."Until the Whole World Hears" let us continue to serve together!!!!

In Him,

Larry

  1. What a wonderful idea! Tell Richard that I sent an email to many of the church members with the link to follow. I look forward to hearing how God is able to use His servants to reach all nations. Godspeed. ~Jessica Young SHBC
